from "Our September." I think of the young woman in the wheelchair
as a shaman, a wounded healer. She is the embodiment of and healer of
suffering. She has antlers: they grow, fall off, and grow again, symbolizing
renewal. On the right side of this detail is the head of Orpheus which
went on singing even after his violent death.
